I thought I'd start a topic on this as we are less than a week away with the TT's even sooner.
the Lincoln course will be quite a test and we are blessed this year with having Thomas, Kennaugh and the Yates boys to name but four in excellent form.
I am biased toward Little Pete but it could be a very tough call for the win and a real treat.

Is there a profile of the course anywhere?
I'd like to see Kennuagh get it simply because he looks so good in that jersey.0 -

Found one here...

I can't post it at present because my work computer won't allow it. Totally agree about Pete in the Jersey though.0 -
From my rudimentary estimate it looks like the final climb is around 6%. So should be a good battle between the strong guys.0

I really don't envy eight times up Michaelgate at race pace. I suspect there may be a high attrition rate like a World Champs0

I think it's a bit more than that...0 -

Thomas has to be hot favourite if he's ridingTwitter: @RichN950 -
Only 300m? It looks a good 800m on the profile.
Well, that is almost perfect for Thomas then.0 -

Lovely town , worth a visit especially at Lincoln GP time. It is a tough climb, would be tricky in the wet. there will be a hefty weeding by the end of the race I think0 -

Really hope Pete Cantspellthatsecondname wins it as he just looks so right in the kit.
Proper stylish. It's not so much about winning, I just hate losing.0 -

Last time he raced the Lincoln GP course....

Climb at 20.00 .
Final clip is deceptive as there is a 100m flat section after the top corner and prior to finish, that is not shown on clip.

It's a fantastic place. Lived in Lincoln for 5 years and watched the Lincoln GP each year I was there. It's a fantastic course and the Michaelgate climb is hella steep. Most mortals can barely struggle up this climb, (not least because we can't balance in the gutter without hitting the pedal on the kerb...) last year Dean Downing in the Lincoln GP rode up the 8th time one handed with a beer in the other.
Would love to see Pete win in Lincoln again, and retain his jersey. He knows the course and he looks to be in top form. In 2013 he attacked at the top of Long Leys Road (about a mile from the bottom of Michaelgate) with about 5 laps to go and basically stayed away for the last 40miles. I will be in Castle Square to watch this unfold - can't wait!0 -
be interesting to see if the OGE boys are there how much the sky guys will work together or if it will be a free for all, PK does suit it but think either Yates will do it justice too, as would G or Stannard0
-
The trouble with Simon Yates is he's likely to be in the white jersey. Kennaugh won't feature in the classics. The Jersey will get most exposure with a G-man win. Stylish rider too....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0

ooh I Like the look of that little bump, should be exciting, just a shame it is so short.Contador is the Greatest0

Yeah, you can be sure it will grace his shoulders rather than sit there. Mind you, PK did a very good job showing it and carrying it off.Contador is the Greatest0 -

It is pretty selective though. Realistically there's only one rideable line, which really splits things up. The descent after Michaelgate is pretty sketchy too, so splits happen there as well.0 -
The BC website says the TT will be live on the youtube channel.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxxO-JlIfLY
It's not clear if the Sunday road races will be live there too. If the rights have been sold then probably only Eurosport? (which is showing women's and men's from 11.30 Sunday)
Highlights on ITV4 Monday at 6pm which is too long behind, so it may be dodgy streams for cheapskates like me.0 -

Normally BC have one, but I can't find it on the new site.

short means aggressive riding has to make the selection rather than guys just getting tired and popping. Think Russ Downing will be a good shout, pretty sure he was won the lincoln prem quite a few times0 -

If the sky riders don't flip a coin for it in the bus on the way in there could be a real titanic battle between Little Pete, G and the Yates boys. Potentially the best contested in some time? Shouldn't rule Swifty out if he's riding but it isn't a gallop finish0

Happy days for me. The Yates', Thomas, Kennuagh, Stannard and Luke Rowe are all, or are close to being, my men. One of them's got to get it.0
