@ddraver and Rick - originally I wasn't going to vote and was content to see what Labour party tosh landed in my mailbox until I got sick of it, but your responses on this thread have inspired me to get out and support Corbyn. Thanks for giving me the resolve to take action
When is the Lib Dem leadership contest?"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
Can you really not see that when 2 people - neither of whom are labour voters - are telling you that what you are doing is simply pathetic that you may need to have a quiet word with yourself?
To call this childish is an insult to childrenWe're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

When is the Lib Dem leadership contest?
Ballot papers have already been dispatched.
Must be returned by the 15th of July.0 -
Helping kick a bunch of people down even further when they're already in the worst position they've been in for 2 decades.
Sounds like standard Tory behaviour to me.0 -

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-33224896What good, if any, have they done?
A lot. In fact: tax credits have played a big part in one of the biggest improvements in child poverty seen since the war.
Result. Let's cut 'em!
I'm not labour, so whatever.0 -
Straight from the Labour party's in-house media machine aka the BBC. Yup.0

If you don't like what I'm doing, tough. If you want to do something about it, register and vote for who you want to lead Labour. Whingeing and having a pop at me won't change anything."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
Working/child tax credits should incrementally increase the more hours you work. It should be incentivised. It is an odd conundrum that you get the child tax credit element for childcare and give it straight back - shouldn't the money go into the pool for paying for child care? i'e, a couple/person can claim x credits or number of hours based on their WTC assessment and the money goes directly to child care facilities.
I also think that the £32,969 ceiling is too high and should be reduced.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

Stevo666 i may not, well i dont, agree with your politics but up until now, i ve respected your opinions, well thought out and well put.... but this? really? i left this sort of behaviour you are countenancing at the primary school gates many years ago.
Its a bit sad tbh and makes me wonder if you r at all what you (used to) appear to be.0 -

I don't think I'm the one protesting...just acting in the national interest as I see it All that has happened is that Labour has inadvertently provided an additional indirect route to help achieve the same result as me voting in the general election.
Mamba, if you support Corbyn (as I recall you said you thought he had some good policies  ), what are you moaning about?
And I'd be interested to know what your think I appear(ed) to be... use PM if you want - despite your political views I'd hate you to get in trouble..."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -

Unfortunately you picked the wrong moderated forum to worry about any aftermath from mamba's comments... [Insert winking smiley].seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

the comment i made was a throw away one aimed at anyone on the internet, we can be what we like cant we?
So, i might not be in IT and you may have nothing to do with MTB riding
But i maintain that the sort of behaviour you advocate, potentially, could have derailed a democratic process and as a highly qualified accountant, how could you be proud of that?
but as i ve said to you before, on here our opinions dont really matter, its just a bit of light entertainment.
as for a PM, why would i do that?0 -
Maybe if enough people vote for a Labour leader they like then they may vote Labour instead of another party.
Just saying.
Political dirty tricks?
Oh no, no one would ever consider the option.
Just saying. With sarcasm. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

Not sure why he's so narked about this, unless he's finally given up on the Lib Dems and defected to Labour in an act of political desperation

If we are going to have a poll, can I nominate Jeremy Corbyn?0

Hee hee hee.
i ve never read any argument put forward by you that out-agues anyone.
your man cameron has done nothing about illegal immigration, nothing about the N v S divide, nothing about youth unemployment and its cause, poor education and is now being blanked at euro summit for his agenda for change.... Dave... no one is listening, tory threat to leave euroland? so what exactly would the french do with the uk borders staff on their land and the 1000s who want to come to the uk ??? yep you guessed correctly
Cameron is a straw man, rhetoric and nothing else.
As the Bromton cycles guy said on R4 "better to have 100,000 hi quality apprenticeships than 3million poor ones" (which is what that xxxx cmeron wants) Bromton man went on to say they would be just used as "cheap labour"... a YTS scheme in otherwords, the Tories have slashed the budget to Further education colleges but all is ok in Stevo towers :roll:0 -
