    What you may be correct about is "IF" this thread is about the Porte decision but it is not.
    This is a "Spin Off" thread that I understand to be about the public being further convinced about cycle racing being a Joke Sport.
    This Century this sport has gone to pot because of the inefficiency of the UCI and the dogmatic rulings of their officials, repeated again a couple of days ago plus the Officials handling of Doping in this sport.
    I've said before that I get embarrassed by the public's reaction when I admit it is my favourite sport and they think it is a Joke of a Sport.
    How do you feel about the Ludicrous Hour Record attempts on bikes that were banned previously. ??

    I have read the thread title, hence why I am requesting John take his discussion on the Porte situation to the relevant thread.

    I have to agree with you on the rest. Most of the time I don't worry about it but sometimes it's so farcical that I just can't be bothered with it any more.Hence I ve not bothered to watch any more of the Giro. I ve not missed it really, there are plenty of other things to be doing, not least actually riding my own bike...

    It's hard to think that a sport that has Vinokourov as Olympic champion as anything other than a bit of a joke.

    Even bigger joke is an experienced rider not knowing which side of the road you are supposed to stop on when you have a mechanical.
