Hand pain from vibration

I have been suffering from vibration induced hand pain after about an hours riding. Any suggestions for a possible remedy. I currently ride a Vitus Venon VRS carbon fibre frame and forks ,all controls and front and rear mech are ultegra. Saddle post upgraded to carbon fibre. Wheels are Easton ea 70 running 25 mm Michelin pro 4 endurance tyres..My lbs here in France has suggested fitting a thicker padded handlebar tape - I,m not sure if this will solve the problem. Handlebars and stem are aluminum . Could a more flexible front fork be the solution? Any advice would be most welcome

Try a vittoria Pave in 25mm or even 27mm @ 80 to 85 psi, unless you are a clyde? also look at your riding position, maybe its pushing you forward onto your hands/arms?0 -
Padded gloves too would help, i too suffer from this if doing long distances without any gloves on.
Thicker bar tape is sure to help too.0 -
Thanks to you all for the advice on relieving hand pain - am going to get bike fit sorted out ,try the padded bar tape and also have been advised by Chain Reactions that the tape should help .started road biking in1984 with my old Raleigh Rapide so can't complain this is first time with hand pain!0

You mentioned what tyres you're using but not what pressure you're running them at. If vibration is the problem, I would say tyre pressure is the single most pertinent detail and should be considered long before bar tape, forks, wheels, new cockpit components, etc. None of which are likely to make anywhere near as much difference.
I use 25mm Michelin Pro 4 SC tyres. I weigh 85-86kg. I usually use about 85psi at the front and could safely go lower if I needed to.0
