A Tinkoff rider just rode across them. Lost his gear or something. Nothing to do with parked cars or trailers."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0

Break is down to 2:30 at 46k. De Gendt seems to be doing more than his share on the front of it.0
-
Several riders in a ditch, all tangled up with each other. Nordhaug, Poels from Sky, Roux from FDJ among others. Doesn't look like any serious injuries but took them a while to get out of the ditch.0

It's a springboard for a long range attacker on superlative form. At least it gives an option, but I'd lump it in with the Poggio at San Remo. i.e. a potential, but any attack there will have to be all or nothingWe're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Baugnies (last survivor from the original break) finally dropped, now just Visconti and LLS up front.
TJ chasing them with Vervaeke (Lotto Soudal), Baugnies has managed to catch their wheels.
EQS doing most of the chasing, gap is around 25s, 15k.0 -

Another nasty crash... couple of IAMs, couple BMC... Froome!
He's getting back on the bike now, gingerly. Been down on his left hip.0 -
WHAT A JOKE
ANOTHER CRASH
3 IAM
AND BLOODY CHRIS FROOME
Was very much looking to see how Chris went.
These guys need to learn how to ride their bikes without crashing. The amount of crashes so far is a disaster. I suppose Froome's LBL participation is now in doubt.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Froome can't handle a bike in 3...2...1...Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0
