Seemed to be some virus. If that's the case they can take an absolute age to clear. Especially to perform at that level. Shame. The sprints are poorer without him and I hope he mends up.
He won a stage at the Tour of Poland. A month ago. Which suggests he was race fit. So what happened since? Is it a return of the virus, which they struggled to identify back in the spring, or is he struggling mentally?
Either way, I hope he's back to his best next season.0 -

His own expectations I think. If he is feeling up one day and down the next without a specific reason I can imagine that would mentally batter some one so used to winning and performing consistently at a top level.0 -
