    Well done Kristoff.

Fair play to Kristoff. He was the strongest on the day. Big tactical mistake to let them go though.

This long drag is such a shoot finish to the race.

The old route was a 12 km long drag with a 20 km long drag before the muur. This is 8 km

Incredibly naive from Sky thinking they could do the mountain-stage tactic in this race. Can't race a Flanders defensively covering all attacks from 120km out. Thomas left without a chance because of that. But it's nothing new this Sky vs classics thing.

Yet again Etixx tactics have to be questioned. Why not attack further out, even sitting on Kristoff's wheel wasn't going to win him the sprint. Presumably Lefevre will say Kristoff should have worked more. Right man won in the end. Not much of a gap to the big bunch just behind Greipel.

BMC got to be disppointed, had a lot of riders when the pair went clear but couldn't/wouldn't commit to chase. GVA would have been in with a shout if they had...

  • Eddy P knows the score.

Why is Terpstra riding the last 3km?

They'd just come to the top of a bit of a drag with 28km to go and were soft pedalling a bit. Terpstra jumped away and Kristoff was straight onto his wheel. They could have shut it down straight away.
