Handball is a weird sport, does anyone actually understand the rules?

Some of them. Like you have to release the ball before your foot touches down in the area. You can run with the ball while bouncing it (like basketball). You can be penalised for not attacking (time-wasting side to side passes). The stuff about who fouled who is difficult though.

It's bloody violent, they're big guys crashing into each other.

Sounds like netball when you're a small person. :(

Further complicated by the fact that fouling often seems to be regarded as A Good/Desirable Thing.

That depends. You can get sin-binned for it, then your team has to cope a man down for a couple of minutes.

In basketball you definitely should foul, up to your four personal fouls allowance.

There are a lot of crashes in the peloton. @martinvelits of @Etixx_QuickStep is out of the race with a broken collarbone. #GWE

    Nice weather in Barcelona.

De situatie in GW: 7 leiders (Timmer, Gougeard, Dowsett, Broett, Sergent, Kerkhof en Tedeschi) - peloton I op 4 minuten - peloton II op 4'32" - peloton III op 4'50".

Hence the 'often' :). Tbh though, I gave up trying to understand that particular aspect of the game and just follow the philosophy of 'if the ref whistles...'. See also: Rucks and Scrums in rugby,

Something happen with Cav? Carlton said something about it on the Catalunya stream I'm watching but didn't catch all of it.

A break has gone from the peloton with Vanmarcke, Van Avermaet, Thomas, Greipel, Roelandts, Maes, Lodewyck, Haussler and Debusschere.

Well I assume that's what they mean on the Sporza site with een groepje favorieten heeft zich losgescheurd. Torn away.

I once put it into the canal at Camden Lock. Concerned bystanders chucked their dogs on strings at me for added beyonce.
