Lots of interesting riders doing this. Thankfully the boss has chosen to stay in Europe and his best challenger has also stayed and they will face off in Andalucia. Quintana was going to ride that race as well but suffered a crash in the Colombian Nationals and has stayed at home (Uran won the TT title).

  • Nothing showing up in their schedules atm, but if live gets off the ground, there might be English commentary here:
(the footie had English, the sports news doesn't)

The best of the Arabian races by a mile. Far more interesting (and real!) terrain, a rare chance to see some of the top GT riders having a bit of a battle and yet never gets as much coverage for some reason.

As flagged by INRNG this is set to be the final edition unless a new contract is signed, but no news on this yet. Shame as I agree, it's a decent race. Definitely more interesting that Dubai!

    Low bar.

    Qatar on the other hand.

  • No live coverage confirmed.
Same 26 minutes of highlights transmitted worldwide release.
Trouble is worldwide no longer includes Eurosport, (although Rob Hatch is out there) or any other worthwhile outlet for that matter.
Only showing up in Arabic Bein Sports schedule atm.

Oh come on, Qatar was hardly that thrilling either... a few echelons and a sprint finish

Qatar? The echelons are nice, but just can't get round the complete lack of spectators at the finish (let alone anywhere else). Oman has been actually a good race, with some decent finishes. Last few years it has had one of the strongest GC line ups of any race, if not the strongest

Another close finish again for Boonen, but no win - 2nd. Guardini takes the bunch sprint

    Boonen not happy.

Might be on cycling.tv - they claim they're going to have it on demand. They currently have Carlton Kirby's version of Dubai Tour on demand as well.
  • Definitely pleased for Guardini to take that win. He deserves one for his consistency so far this year.

Maybe been beaten by Guardini has made him realise what most of us already knew.

    Stick a fork in him.

Sagan's results so far this season (excluding Qatar TT):

    4,4,2,2,4,6,7,4

He's the new JJ Rojas (who has managed to win himself)

Can't wait to see some highlights.

FF right, Sagan rode away and had time to celebrate on these hills before.

    Cancellara?

    Pfft.

    Ominous.

He's been in the press saying how much more he's enjoying riding than he did 3 years ago, an he feels as good if not better than he did in 2013....

    Kristoff wins the sprint, again.

    Also fairly ominous.

Guy's got to be stand out favourite for MSR.

He's on fire. I didn't think he'd be able to top last year but he seems to be going from strength to strength.

Lets see what Degenkolb does today Andalucia - the finish there looks a bit like MSR with a short climb just before the finish. Could be some great battles between these two based on what we've seen so far.
