Flu

I've been following the trainerroad traditional base for a couple of weeks. Mainly because it suits my various injuries(slow build up) and getting back into shape. Now I've missed two sessions and will probably miss tomorrow's as well due to the flu. I'm asthmatic and flu seems to hit my lungs pretty hard when I get it good.
Now should I stick to the calender and do my next session or should I start with the first session I missed? It might be after a few quiet spins to check if the lungs are unto it.
Thanks.

Have a look at what the sessions are - some weeks are harder than others. If you've been off for a while it might be worth taking a step back and coming in on an easier week.0

Have an easy ride or two to get back into it, then carry on with whatever the schedule says. Never try to catch up missed sessions, just leads to more trouble IME0

Once you have recovered from the Flu your body will still be alot weaker than normal and if you push too hard you can make yourself very ill for a lot longer. Just take it easy and listen to your body. That way you will soon be back up to speed. All the usual advice about eating properly and getting plenty of sleep as well.0

If you've genuinely just had flu then I'm surprised you're even contemplating any kind of training.
I've had it twice in 57 years and on both occasions I was too ill to get out of bed.0 -
Just had flu.
To the OP - you didn't have flu. If you did you wouldn't have been worrying about missing a couple of TR sessions...0 -
As above. You have a cold.0

I also have asthma and have been off the bike for 3 days up to now with a cold, if I had flu I would be incapable of even posting on here, as others have said you have a cold.0

I once had a pupil who came into a lesson at 11am, who said "I had flu this morning, so thought I wasn't going to make my lesson, but then I suddenly felt better..."
Yes, I've had flu once, and didn't do anything other than lie in bed, drink water, and wonder whether dying would be the more pleasant option.
To the OP - whatever you've had, take it easy and listen to your body, especially if you've got anything in your lungs that shouldn't be there.0
