I love Rapha kit as much as the next man, but really.

Maybe I should try my wetsuit as a base, mask and flippers optional!

So Rapha have introduced a new frankly stupid product because their 'Gabba' alternative cannot be printed on.

So if you are prepared to look beyond the usual suspects like Rapha, Castelli, Assos etc there is a product out there that has been reviewed as being better than the Gabba, and can be custom printed in whatever club colours, designs you want.

    It's called the Parentini Mossa

Doesn't make much sense to me. The place for water repellency is the outer layer, surely? So your outer layers will still get waterlogged and potentially heavier etc.

You need to read their description before typing opinion ;)

It's to wear under your race or club kit so you still show your race numbers and so on. It's also for people (like gabba wearers) who dont want a sweaty and flappy jacket.

It's for people who like to wear their normal (maybe nice?) kit and add 'gabbaness' to it - i.e. the ability to get wet but warm. People rave about the gabba yet that soaks through wetsuit style and people have no problems. This is lighter weight than that I would assume.

Not for everyone but a damn good idea in my book (if it works).

I did read the description, ta. But I'd be willing to bet that a massive proportion of buyers will never see a race. Similarly, most 'race bikes' never get raced. This stuff is for consumers, Rapha know it, we know it. It's aspirational stuff.

Apologies if my reply seemed arsey - not meant to be. I agree 100% with you btw, its the same for a lot of cycling gear it seems.
