Could you *please* stop trying to jinx my men? Thanks.
Sorry. I'll post again next time he's racing praising all his rivals
It's the least you can do :mad:Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -
hmmm, was hoping for a Jumbo win this weekend. Hofland's illness and injuries to ten Dam and other solid domestics who could support Sep deeper into races are hurting their chances.
Not sure where their first win will come now...Eneco or Poland perhaps? I think Kelderman might have to brought into action ahead of the Giro.Half man, Half bike0 -
Still a way to go to beat AG2R's record from a few years ago. That was May before they won (at the ATOC)0

That was the day they won twice I think, the ATOC win was their second I believe.
It was Hinault won in the Circuit de Lorraine that day for their first win, and with the time difference Georges got their second win of the season he same day.0 -
As a little related issue, the following World Tour teams are waiting for a win in the World Tour:
Astana
FdJ
IAM
Cannondale
Lotto NL
It's quite possible one of them will go winless.
Fun World Tour fact. Since the beginning of the World Tour in 2009 Dan Martin has had more overall race victories than all the French teams combined (4 v 3)Twitter: @RichN950 -
Ploeg en jaar: Datum eerste zege:
Saunier-Duval (2005) 19 mei
AG2R (2012) 18 mei
Euskaltel (2005) 8 mei
T-Mobile (2005) 24 april
Bouygues (2007) 22 april
Domina Vacanze (2005) 21 april
Omega Pharma-Lotto (2010) 18 april
Table from here: http://www.nu.nl/wielrennen/4034879/zeg ... ecord.html showing the record for the last team to win since 2005. Lotto-Jumbo are getting pretty close to the record, and I can't see them winning soon, considering all 5 podiums this year from them have been in .1 ranked races. Maybe some opportunities in Yorkshire?0 -
A lot of teams took a long time to win in 2005, did that have anything to do with the introduction of the ProTour?0

Ah yeah, that was before TdU was ProTour, didn't Contador win it that year?0

But that last post was about the World Tour itself (which was never what this thread was about). I was just mentioning that three teams don't have a win there yet. It's not uncommon for a team not to win.Twitter: @RichN950 -
Got it. I missed the posts from the last few weeks.
At least Boom, Mollema and co haven't been racking up the wins for their new teams in the meantime.Half man, Half bike0 -
IAM as well.
... I'll just.. yeah.. coat..0 -
Are IAM in the WorldTour? Any reason why?0

They moved up this year after Europcar dropped down to PCT. Strongest of the Pro-Conti teams in 2014 and got decent financial backing, apparently a budget of 10-15m euros...0 -
TAKE JUMBO OFF THE WT LIST...
At last, a WT win for LottoNL Jumbo in the beautiful Tour of Eneco.Half man, Half bike0
