I have previously offered excellent advice only to have petty daftness thrown at me which is fine but goes against everything I am.

I can't recall the episode... lots of advice on cars and wealth, yes... on carbon frames I can't remember...

Problem is if you look at Lewis career, he fought Tyson when he was the shadow of himself, he fought Holyfield when he was 37 and towards the end of his useful career...
He did beat Klischo (or whatever the name is), I give you that...

Among the other fights, no opponent really stands out... not his fault, it's just the name of the game

I don't think even Lenox would consider himself the best fighter, that title belongs to tyson without doubt, even with the modern methods of training and foods etc.

Lewis was the best boxer as he had a plan and stuck to it. He wanted to earn $500,000,000 revenue and retire.
He promptly earned $500,000,000 and retired.
He has not suffered the "ills" of boxing and has been offered $45,000,000 to come out of retirement to have a fight in Vegas and declined. He can possibly live out a long life and is healthy and loaded.
To me that makes him the best.

BTW, first thing he did after retirement is to give another £50,000,000 to the lennox lewis foundation for youth problems in the UK. I also think he was a rounded and thoroughly decent chap.

I'm a regular on a few boxing forums including US based ones, and pretty much everyone on every forum has Lewis in their top 10 all time great heavyweights. Head to head there are very few fighters in history that would have beaten him too.

No, an association is placed, I've never actually said I am rich. I just work incredibly hard and have done ok. It is actually my clients that are rich as you well know that I've previously pointed out.
Also, I asked previously for you to assist with a pair of wheels and you were not interested so I built a company to make frames and set up a business with a wheel manufacturer and now all of a sudden you want me to give advice.

I find it all very odd but if your truly interested I can let you have a tour of the factory in the new year. You see life is too short for grudges, it holds people back and I'm all about moving forward.

You asked me to do something it didn't make sense for me to do.

I think your expertise in frame manufacturing would be helpful on the forum. I still struggle with the concept of you on a cycling forum talking about cars and money... surely there are forum for money and car related things...

Anyway, let's see these frames... piccies?

This may be the problem, you see its people like you who mention the money, unless in pure jest I never suggest I have more than anyone else, it is others who suggest this. I make comments about finances when I feel it appropriate and people like you jump in to make it look otherwise.
Anyway, back on frames. As with the wine, what would be the point in me posting here which company I own, it would give people with time on their hands something to do which doesn't suite me.
If you need advice on frames I will be glad to either give it or find the correct answer from the guys in tech.

    I am confused.
You have been invited to the factory but are more interested in piccies?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

"This is a big deal. Carbon fibre bicycle manufacturing in the UK is almost non existent, but there are signs we’re witnessing the beginnings of a resurgent. Moda have been working with a Stoke-based carbon fibre specialist more used to working in the motorsport sector"

"The only other UK made carbon fibre bicycle brand we know of is Craddock Cycles, :?:
All lies and jest..still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest....
  • That's everything I don't like about Carbon Frames, right there. I appreciate you can do different shapes in carbon, but just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Unless there's a definite benefit to those swoopy shapes, why bother? It looks even worse painted up.

The links in that article to Craddock bikes' custom UK made bikes, on the other hand...

Must admit I like some curvy frames, not when it's a bit OTT such as specialized or Pinarello forks, but those craddock frames do like kinda nice and plain, horrible logo tho'

  • For that sort of money, and with them being a custom operation, I'm sure some arrangement could be made.

Pinarello's curvy forks and stays are just one of those things that leave me cold. Unless they serve an engineering purpose, which seems unlikely given they're gradually being toned down as time goes on, why bother? Surely there's more useful ways of making a frame unique?

    They do serve a purpose...
For the hard of hearing, who are unable to hear the rider shouting out about how good they are, the replica Team Sky kit and Pinarello curvy forks are a guide of who to avoid.

I'm pretty sure v-tech did say (in this thread) that he would be in the top of the richest under 30s in Forbes, but was modest about his wealth.

    Here is is:

Anyway, don't believe all you read about the rich lists, I had more money than 4 of the top 30 under 30's on the rich list in the UK and didn't get a mention. Mind you, that was 15 years ago, I've spent a little since then.

The strange thing is that many of the "rich" do not actually have much cash.
Witness Sir Reo Stakis who allegedly only had £85 when he died. Now, I do not doubt that this was due to creative accounting but the end result is the same, many on here will have more in simple cash terms.

They are rich because their wife and children love them, perhaps

Perhaps that would make their wife and children rich, but not them so how would they get on a rich list?

    Anyway, back to sports "personalities".......
