Trainerroad iOS version

I've recently downloaded the iOS version of TR to use with either ipad or iPhone. My laptop has recently blown up and I was hoping to use ipad instead but have a problem. I've already got a USB ant+ dongle and hoped to use this with the ipad, so I connected the dongle to the ipad with the lightning cable and a fem to fem USB adapter. This doesn't work and tr on the pad is saying ant+ not available. Has anyone else tried this and got it to work or do I need either an iphone specific dongle and lightning to 30 pin adapter, or new lap top? In the meantime I'm TR-less :(

    Have done and got impressively quick response. iOS version will only work with wahoo fitness key. Garmin ant+ and presumably others aren't supported. Ah well

    In the meantime I've managed to get hold of an old desktop PC and managed to rig that up next to turbo. Not ideal setup but will do for now
