my gym has some power plates, I tend to use them as part of a stretch and cool down routine post spin class, they feel like a short cut to stretching as in you can stretch quicker on them. Does anyone else use them?

  • Used one for a week at the gym once but did some research and most sources say quite clearly it's snake oil. Then again I was more using it for a core routine than stretching so I guess it may be different for your use.

Yep - my first thought two, like toning tables. Exercise for fat people that doesn't involve exercise. However, I have found you stretch more quickly on them. Like most cyclist the biggest issue I get is shortining of the muscle if I don't stretch out after.

I don't buy the strength claims, but have found the stretching helpful.

I used to do planks on them. They were a nice way to mix up core work.
