Wear what you want- no one should care what you wear on the bike and those that do aren't worth the company anyway.

It was hilarious to watch a guy in the then current team gb track kit walking up a gentle hill on the L2B a few years back though, as well as when you see an Augustus Gloop impersonator in a King of the Mountains Jersey. It's also useful when newbies with too much cash go out in their full Team Sky kit so you know to give them a really wide berth when passing
But, they're still lapping everyone sat on the sofa though, so kudos to them.

    Is this a wind up?

    No burn it.
  • I just googled malaise vetementais but no hits and no suggestions for other spellings, what does it mean? I know malaise is discomfort but vetementais?

edit - ah hah just found that vêtement is garment so ais? I can only find aise which appears to mean comfort!! Is this another contradiction - discomfort with the comfort of your garments - or is that too literal?

Frame the jersey in a cheap click frame and display above the fireplace.

Surely the jersey should be put above the fireplace, with an old replica bike hung beside it?

You talk about this as if it's a widespread phenomenon - I have never abused anyone for wearing team kit, I have never seen anyone else doing it, and I don't know anyone who has been a victim of it.
  • This again?

    Great.

Since it was last on here, I got a Rapha Sky jersey for £25 in their end of season sale.

So I fail on the Rapha and replica kit scale :)

maybe you could cycle the wrong way round Richmond Park and see if people shout abuse at you. On alternate laps you could acknowledge other riders to see if it makes a difference to the level of abuse (or indifference)
