Setting Turbo Trainer "Baseline" Resistance

Just bought my first turbo trainer (Cycleops Fluid 2) to keep me going through the winter months and I'll be signing up to TrainerRoad.
Can anyone suggest a technique for setting the baseline resistance?
I imagine I'll want it to "feel" like a flat smooth road section, where I can push gear in the middle of my cassette at 90-95rpm and 32-34kph. From there I'd expect to simulate climbs by simply changing to a higher gear and ease off by changing down.
Does that sound about right or have I completely missed the mark?
TIA.

That's what I do. It's not accurate, but TBH it doesn't matter as riding a turbo is different to riding the road anyway.0

The main thing to note if you are using some form of speed:power relationship is that the setup should remain the same each time.
Riding a turbo for the 1st few weeks always feels a little different. Interia is the main factor... Have a read of this.. http://www.turbotraining.co.uk/turbo-trainer-setup0 -
