Good old LBS. Unfortunately you would have had less trouble buying wheels from Wiggle. The spoke (s) in question will probably keep coming lose on your new wheel, you may have to use thread lock.Pegoretti

+1 to those that say you shouldnt have left the shop without checking it - especially after being given a replacement that you had already checked and was out. You were a bit foolish after that to just trust them, given the distance.
What I would have done is ask to be shown how to true them by watching him do it, to make up for the 60 miles of inconvenience - that would have both given you some useful learning and made sure he did it properly!
It is worrying that the wheel seems to go out of true simply by inflating tyre etc - that doesnt sound like a very robust and reliable wheel...0 -
Yeah im wondering how they will be in a few weeks/ months riding ?
The reason i went for these -Novatec jetfly was really because of their weight and price , obviously the shop workers are going to say they are good, but they have fairly good reviews also.
Oh well , i will find out in time and if theres any issues i'll let you all know.0 -

To be fair though he (shop mech) may well have given them a tweak and they settled with the vibration of the journey home.
However, the specific issue is not about being fit for purpose but satisfactory quality. You have a right to reject any goods you haven't accepted, mucking about trying to fix them pretty much means you've accepted them. They still have to fix the fault, but you lose the right to reject for refund. If however you get them to fix and they don't fix them then you still have that right.
Its human nature to try to fix things particularly if it looks like a minor thing. We don't want the hassle if its a 5 min job. Always worth dropping them an email and asking what to do - if they advise you to give it a tweak or tell you how to fix, then you will most likely have preserved your right to reject the goods.0
