OK had a decent mess around, got connect account, setup the 705, created a couple of courses and loaded them, entered profiles.

I have a Polar H7 (Ant+) HRM strap already, have turned on HRM in the 705, the icon appears and got it showing red and fray heart beat icon, but see nothing on data on the screen, any thoughts?

Think I might have to get me one of those GSC 10's for road bike and think second bike will just leave to GPS as thats going to get quite expensive as the GSC 10 is £30-35
Polar kit is not ANT+ so that is why it is not working. The H7 strap uses Bluetooth. Decathlon do a speed/cadence sensor that is cheaper than the Garmin one and works fine.
Thanks you just saved me hours of pain trying to make it work.

I only found this http://www.decathlon.co.uk/ant-speed-ra ... 81211.html and is got really bad reviews.

So was out today with my new out front mount, what a difference. Love it. And navigation working properly now I'm using ridewithgps. Got a second hand GSC 10 on route, found I ride under cover of trees a lot and I can see the speed is all over the place, no biggie.

Thanks for all the advice, happy bunny here. Now just need a GPX for palace to palace next week.

If you look at the originals it will be fairly easy to deduce which roads are used and to formulate your own gpx file on something like ridewithgps.

I beleive the actual route is signed.

    Originals here
