Did Dan Martin just say that he's "never been so happy to see some cows"?

    Oh no clouds. Shame.

Nieve for some reason is back there with him, over a minute down.

Whoopsie, Ryder takes a tumble. Looks like the camera bike ran over his bike.

Hejsedel down on a bend, tv bike runs his bike over.

Breakaway thinks about waiting but DeMarchi continues.

Movistar seem to have put the brakes on the chasing peloton. 3'23" with 10km to go.

De Marchi has 3mins at 7k and 50 secs on Tschopp. De Marchi - would be nice if he was rewarded for his constant attacking in the Tour.

Hesjedal has caught the other two but De Marchi has 1.30.
    3ks 3mins to peloton.
    Win is his.

Dupont very sportingly giving Hesjedal some assistance.

In these Vuelta stages you see far far fewer towns or even buildings along the route as you do in France and Italy.

Well who'd have thought it would not be Peter Sagan winning Cannondale's first GT stage win of 2014?

Chris showing his sprint skills again as I have mentioned.
    Barguil down.

Not really uphill. He was walking really slowly so I would imagine he assumed there was the rule.

  • Confirmed 3 km rule applies.
Froome hands a 3 second smackdown on the Spanish siesta boys.
