Inferior peroneal retinaculum

Whilst I initial thought I had injured myself walking, I'm now thinking that I may have damaged my inferior peroneal retinaculum or something around that area using my turbo trainer. Hoping to get into the docs tomorrow to try and get some sort of diagnosis as its incredibly painful and unfortunately I'm not really able to rest it (that may change after the docs).
I wondered if anyone else had had this type of injury whilst cycling (that may narrow it down where it occurred) and could offer advice?. I cannot point to a specific moment the injury occurred this week (hence the confusion), but it's really painful and at this point I'm hoping that I won't be off the bike too long. If not looks like all my Hill Climb entries and targets will be out the window.

I did something to myself in that area jumping off a 12 foot wall!
Fractured the heel, I didn't really notice when I did it but when it healed it left a nub of bone that rubbed on a tendon.
Cycling aggravated it but then so did any other movement.
The doctor was next to useless, the surgeon that I was eventually referred to was brilliant.0
