Circus stage. Shouldn't be allowed. Riders should have a union. No way to decide a GC.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -

THAT WOULD BE FRICKIN AWESOME!!!!“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -
I'm guessing the route mainly goes straight over the roundabouts without much need to change direction? If there are a dozen 90 or 360 degree turns then, yes, it's a pretty rubbish route.
I assume it's not forecast to rain in Jerez tomorrow?0 -

Would be kinda funny to watch if each one was a 90 degree turn.0 -

That map suggests they have to make some sort of turn at half of the roundabouts. Thankfully the forecast predicts a dry day.0 -
This has popped up on my twitter.

Can I repeat my question please?
What is this *spoilers* thing?
How can you spoil something that hasn't happened?
Yes, I know people record things to watch later, but surely anyone that looks at an Internet forum has the brain cells to realise that they might read about the past?0 -

It is a courtesy to forum readers who may want to read other threads but avoid the race which is happening that day. The OP has added **spoilers** to the title in anticipation that other forum posters will add results etc. at a later date.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -

Ok, it's a courtesy for those who do not have the brain cells to avoid articles about things they do not want to know!
If the thread was titled "green socks" and the poster wanted to talk about green socks at the Vuelta I can understand that it would be courteous to call the thread "green socks, mag contain Vuelta spoilers", but if the title is just "Vuelta" isn't that sufficient hint?0 -

Or just put 'spoiler' in the title. Does it really upset you so much? Can we just move on and talk about cycling?0 -

Generally in BR land you tend to find a spoilers post where as the name suggests people post about the days events and often as it's happening for those who would like to read it on situ e.g. Those at work who want to know what's going on as it happens.
I for one do have a few brain cells (but not many lol) and will avoid the spoilers post to watch the race later but am happy to go into other posts about stages coming up where generally the talk is not about what happened on the previous stage as that's covered in the spoilers post.
So in answer to your question it's just simpler to have 2 threads one for the days events which may contain spoilers and one for future stages for speculation, rumours and banter of what may come.
All quite civilised really and seems to work for the masses with or without brain cellsPain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0 -
I'd been hunting around for for some chat on green socks and got excited to find this thread in my search - only to find it's someone whingeing about "spoilers"... Well, it certainly spoiled it for me.
Can we put "Not Green Socks" on threads from now on, please?0 -

This is a GT so we should have a spoiler per stage. An overriding spoiler for a stage race should only be for the smaller ones. With the ridiculously good line up I am sure there will be a ton to talk about.
Re green socks. The BR pro race community have that covered

Valverde says he will work for Nairo if needed but says he has a strong chance to finish high and is in good shape and form. May cause some issues later in the race if there are two leaders, one selfish.

Plus they go round some more than once, so more like 22. There's going to be some skill involved in getting teams to slow from 60+, round the roundabout and up to speed again without losing too much time. OPQS time0 -
Hope Bertie is on form. It will be good to see a Quintana Froome Contador shoot off!0

Doubt Nairo will lose much sleep to the challenge from a guy convincingly trounced by Peraud and Pinot a few weeks ago. (I'll never forgive Movistar for fielding Valvader at the Tour over Naironman, despite the promise of a Vuelta Nairo/Froome/Contador showdown).
