Which power software?

Guys, I am looking for a recommendation as to which is the best program for to use for gathering and interpreting power meter readings. I don't want to be bombarded with information that I don't need and just want to keep it to the bare bones (enough to follow plans in hunter allens books). Its early days yet but I have tried golden cheetah and power agent and was going to have a look at training peaks next. Would Strava premium fit my needs?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Sign up and use training peaks for free & see how you get on, like the functions, layout and see if it suits youPain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0

I would pair up Golden Cheetah and a Strava (free) account.
Strava is great for an overal training view. ie logging my hours/distance a week and it allows me to easily see maps of my rides which is useful as I have certain routes for different types of training. I can use the graphs to zoom in on certain areas to easily give me power/HR/Cadence averages for example - how hard exactly did I push on Box hill yesterday - did I pace it well, was I labouring or spinning etc. Strava's UI is great for this sort of thing.
Then I use Golden Cheetah for the more in depth analysis such as the Performance Manager, keeping tabs on the TSS, power bests over time, quadrant analysis etc. You can use as much or as little of it as you want, but the UI isn't as nice as Strava, but oddly, it allows me to see how my rides directly compare against each other (NP, TSS, 5/10/20min bests, AV HR, Pk HR etc etc). If you're not riding to a specific plan, you'll be able to easily see your training pattern and hopefully start to use it to understand where your training efforts should focus on.0 -
I have both training peaks and golden cheetah. GC dives deeper but is not as easily used. TP is nicer for day to day reviews in my mind and I like the ability to predict form using PMC, based on planned events.0

I really like Cycling Analytics if you are looking for a web solution .. its worth a look. Also, BestBikeSplit is bloody awesome if you're a TTer ...
I have nothing to do with either, just think they're neat.
