Turbo or Rollers?

Without wishing the summer away I'm starting to think ahead to winter.
Although I have a garage, it's opposite the house without any electrical supply so that's a no go and because of the dog ideally I'd be training upstairs in one of the spare rooms. Due to this I'm leaning towards rollers due to them being quieter, but I'm not sure if rollers offer the same quality 'training' that a turbo does.
I'd just be looking at doing intervals with sufferfest vids etc - does a turbo with resistance settings offer better quality training over a set of rollers? I know you can get rollers with resistance, but I don't think they would fit my budget.
Not training for anything in particular - I don't race or tt - just trying to keep the legs ticking over the winter.

Rollers are fantastic for getting you to ride indoors and engage the body as it does on the road - core stability and all that... they will not be any quieter however than a well set up turbo... in fact, in many cases louder.0

Perhaps it's just my experience of an old Turbo I borrowed a couple of years ago. Was an Edinburgh Cycles own brand thing that made a hell of a racket due to the resistance - I did also assumed rollers were virtually silent?!0

Old fashioned turbos = noise... modern mag or fluid can be very good.
Depends on your definition of virtually silent... in your case I think rollers might be the better option to keep legs ticking over .. 30 to 60 mins perday will do just that.. you'll come out a better bike handler and if you learn to do the tricks as well0
