Tingling fingers and toes

I've recently upped my mileage and find that when I am pushing it I get tingling in my fingers and toes, but only on my left side. I had my left knee operated on last year, so when the tingling started in my toes I wondered if it was linked somehow to that (muscles not fully rebuilt etc), but having it in the fingers too is a bit odd.

The tingling goes within a few minutes of finishing the ride.

Appreciate any thoughts you may have as to what is causing it.

are you tending to put weight on the bars with left hand? might explain the fingers

otherwise if it's happening consistently and always on one side i'd be inclined to ask gp for a once over
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

I'd thought about whether I was putting the weight more on the left, but I don't think so. Hard to determine it myself so may have to go for a ride with a mate stuck on my back wheel for a few miles in the hope they can see whether I'm tending to do it. Strange though as it is not a problem I've ever had before.

Will also give a friend that is a GP a call, he's good to chat to about sports-related stuff.

It's probably just a bike fit issue, and it can happen and be pretty innocuous, but tingling can also be result of acute or chronic nerve impairment or even blood circulation problems, so be sure it's nothing more serious. If it only happens on the bike and not when stressed physically in other modes of exercise, then I'd say bike fit is the most likely culprit.
