That is just plain wrong. How can he make such a lovely bike into his pub bike?! Straight bars? He needs his head seeing to  That Nero version is my dream bike.

I think he is right... he bought a bike and he uses it without worrying too much... veneration for a piece of moulded plastic is plain wrong... just think about it

My comment was tongue in cheek. his bike, his rules. If I had a C59 Nero it wouldn't be my pub bike but a chacun son gout I suppose.

I don't see a single good reason to buy it

Once it ends up where it belongs - with a price tag usefully less than the nicer, standard version!

No, plastic pipes glued together. Is veneration for metal pipes welded together any better?

That's sweet, except I would opt for black saddle and bar tape. A little too much white there for my taste.

I figure for £2k-£2.5 I can get a WyndyMilla Massive Attack.

    Oh dear.

Have you looked at ones with the matching colnago seatpost (or black one with white top) and white saddle, then the grey colnago tape with white hoods and white stem? That's when this frame colour looks its best.

(Also, Mavics look out of place, but you could desticker them to solve that a bit).

    Like this or this
