I hurt my back at work 7 weeks ago and even though the pain went, (enough for a motorbike tour of Europe) I still felt a bit "fragile"
Pain was sever lower lumbar extending over the hip into the back of left thigh.
It reoccurred this weekend for no apparent reason, but it felt odd, not like backache but more a localised pain when doing certain movements.
Well, anyway, after 7 weeks, my depression and bad moods about not cycling got too much, so I just went out anyway.
Did 35k today and to be honest , I felt fine on the bike. I felt some pain when cycling, but nothing too bad.
I have an appointment on Monday with an orthopaedic surgeon and I suspect an MRI will be on the cards.
Obviously I`ll be taking it easy, but I`m just so glad I got out, I was shocking about the house, not being able to get out on the bike.
Anyone else get like that during a layoff ?
