Agree...thought he retired at the end of last season! All he has done this year is ride round at the back. There are plenty of experienced riders there without Millar as captain. Would have preferred to see one of the young guys...Thwaites or Fenn in there for experience and the future. Perhaps it's BC's sympathy vote for a repentant ex doper .

If Scotland vote yes then Millar will be made to cycle on his own in a different kit - probably just his vest and pants.

No because independence won't take effect till March 2016. Just in his pants and vest: remember he'll be coming from the 14th richest nation in the world.

  • This will delight some on here. Chubby-jowled wheelsucker Gerrans is favourite.

Only Valverde is worthy of more opprobrium (and even then it's a close run thing)

Oh great :( I've actually slightly warmed to Gerrans, only a bit though. Valverde took the wheelsucker crown for 2014 at the Vuelta so he's now wheel sucking king, demoting Gerrans to second place.

It does raise the possibility of the pair of them desparately trying to wheelsuck each other in the closing k's - could be fun :)

Still trying to understand why I hate Valverde for his wheelsucking, but don't mind Gerrans at all...

Perhaps because you feel that Valverde has more talent and could do more, while Gerrans is making the best of a lot less.

    (Just a guess)

Valverde wasn't so bad during the Vuelta I thought. Tour stage 13 where he refused to work with Pinot then sprinted for 3 seconds and a glorious 4th place, when he could have worked and not lost so much to Nibs, was where he won the crown I thought.

Think some of that is there, yes, Rich. And on reflection, the whole "drag it through the courts, unrepentant doper" thing also counts against him.

Maybe I just feel sorry for Gerrans and his odd face?

If they aren't on TV in the UK you will be able to watch live on the UCI's YouTube channel; the women's TTT was certainly available this morning.
