Some brilliantly amateur stuff at the moment - one bloke with his jersey two thirds undone (it's raining!) and another holding one of his bar extensions on as it's come undone. Marvellous.

I see what your saying, but to me it seems a very lopsided affair with the motherland showing the less wealthier nations how it's done..

Some of these guys are on borrowed bikes, some are put together from spare bits and others have parts that are borrowed for free from the local bikeshop Billy Bilsland Cycles..

The average rider from our local road club often will have better equipment!
There are good bits in Froome's book about the general shambolic nature of riding for a third world nation.

never mind equipment, how about some decent roads. This is on my reading list (somewhere): http://www.amazon.com/Land-Second-Chanc ... 1937715205

Dowsett from Sergent at first check. Flower of Scotland wilting somewhat in Millar form.

    There's also this: http://results.glasgow2014.com/event/cy ... trial.html

If you click on the arrow on the right at the top of the detailed results, it will display all the splits

Tough day at the office for Hutch, caught by Durbridge and Dowsett inside 17km. Useful material, no doubt....

Commentary mentioned that Ndayinsenga (currently 2nd from the first group of 30 finishers) is at the UCI school in Lausanne. There is a feature length film of Land of 2nd chances.

    Dowsett catching Durbridge

Dennis just gone 7s faster than Thomas at the 2nd check (26.4k)

I see Dowsett is rocking the now obligatory Movistar TT knee-length socks or whatever they are

Top 3 look like they're going to consolidate positions at the next check as Dowsett passes Durbridge on the road.

3 horse race for the medals.
They'll probably stay in the current order at the end.
