I see what your saying, but to me it seems a very lopsided affair with the motherland showing the less wealthier nations how it's done..
Some of these guys are on borrowed bikes, some are put together from spare bits and others have parts that are borrowed for free from the local bikeshop Billy Bilsland Cycles..
The average rider from our local road club often will have better equipment!
never mind equipment, how about some decent roads. This is on my reading list (somewhere): http://www.amazon.com/Land-Second-Chanc ... 19377152050 -
Dowsett from Sergent at first check. Flower of Scotland wilting somewhat in Millar form.0

Dowsett caught the Hutch0 -
Tough day at the office for Hutch, caught by Durbridge and Dowsett inside 17km. Useful material, no doubt....0

Commentary mentioned that Ndayinsenga (currently 2nd from the first group of 30 finishers) is at the UCI school in Lausanne. There is a feature length film of Land of 2nd chances.0 -
Millar 50s of dowsett at 17.1km0
-
Dowsett catching Durbridge
Dennis just gone 7s faster than Thomas at the 2nd check (26.4k)
I see Dowsett is rocking the now obligatory Movistar TT knee-length socks or whatever they are0 -
Top 3 look like they're going to consolidate positions at the next check as Dowsett passes Durbridge on the road.0
-
3 horse race for the medals.
They'll probably stay in the current order at the end."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Dowsett 6s behind Dennis at the 2nd check! (Currently Dennis - Dowsett - Thomas)0
-
On second thoughts, Dowsett going backwards."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0
-
Pretty good crowds
Is this a spoiler? Podium looks sorted, if not the order.0 -
Dennis only 4s ahead of Thomas at the last check0
-
This is going down to the wire......"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0

that will be a close top 3.0
-
Gee didn't finish that well. Lost time to Tuft."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0
-
G dropping time in the last session by the look of it or Tuft really finished strongly.0
-
Dennis, Thomas, Dowsett at the 4th split. Still close.0
-
Dennis goes 1st by 4s0
