According to TuttoBici, Nibali got into the spirit of things during the rest day, by handing his credit card to trainer Paolo Slongo and asking him to take Astana’s soigneurs and mechanics out to dinner as a thank you for their efforts to date.

Is it the same driver? It has to be the same driver...
I think he always rides a bike and he hasn't realised that a bus is bigger.0 -
Reza has been very impressive this year. He has been in so many breaks and working his As5 off.

I checked that no-one was seriously hurt.
No-one was seriously hurt.
Look what happened in London when the OGE Team stopped for a Mc D's.0 -

That driver is just such an attention seeker.
I think he'll be going for the sprint on the Champs Elysees. Possibly in the wrong direction though!0 -

115km to go. Break nearing 7min advantage. I suspect this may last given the rest will take it somewhat easy given the hard stages coming up.

If Voeckler can win in Bagnères-de-Luchon it will be the third time he's done it and the first rider to do so since Charly Gaul took his third victory in Grenoble in 1961. Two other riders have won three times in the same town, with François Faber winning in Lyon in 1907, '08 and '09, and Nicolas Frantz taking victories in Nice in 1926, '27 and '28. Thank you to Daniel Friebe for that little nugget of information.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Voeckler in the break. Hotly tipped by Condé due to his demon descending. If Kwiatkowski tries to go away at any point, they'll try to reel the break in. Promising stuff....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0

When did Voeckler get tagged as a "demon descender"? I remember him ending up in someone's front garden in 2011...0 -
You would normally think the break is nailed on to stay away here given the riders and the race situation but Astana seem able to ride everything down so you never know.
Surprised no Katusha riders are in the break.0 -
Break at nine minutes with 95km to race.Contador is the Greatest0

Fair flying along considering the wind hasn't been favourable.
Sporza has been live for 10 minutes. There's 96kms to go.
JVDB is out the back with Greipel, Chava, and Purito, apparently."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

I see Voeckler as in the same category as Nibali. They get down hill fast but not technically 'good' descenders. They just chuck the bike into the corners and hope it sticks. When it doesn't you end up in someone's back garden.0 -
