Critical Power Graph Analysis

Guys, does anyone have any good articles or tables with examples of the above in order to categorise rider types, or to give guidelines on finding weak point to train.
I have a few days of numbers from riding with a power meter, including testing for 1, 2 and 5 minute maxs, and a 20 minute FTP test. It's not much to go on yet, but I want to do some reading in the meantime.
Thanks.

Make sure you read the accompanying article before misinterpreting the chart.

I personally wouldn't take them as gospel unless it is race derived data. You haven't really given everything there is unless there is a number on your back IMO.0

For absolute numbers I can understand where you are coming from.
For testing on the trainer, I feel like I've got to a point where I'm squeezing the majority of my potential. I'd be up around 95% MHR for the last 10 mins of an FTP test. I do feel terrible at the time, a similar feeling to hanging on during a reliability. Other than TTs and Hill Climbs i haven't done a race yet as such, and I'm sure there is more there. All the above is just advice .. you can do whatever the f*ck you wana do!

Sometimes, and sometimes I try too hard! Your best ever power is not necessarily your best possible effort. IMO, if you give it everything, you don't have enough left to ride the rest of the road race, by definition. You should want a good 10 minutes in the foetal position after a short hillclimb for example0
