Has anyone had experience with the type S? I can see lots of reviews on the original models but not the type S.
I have one bike and a rotor 3d crank with QXL, so I think the power2max would fit well.

Yes - I've got the Rotor 3DF Type S
Had it for about 3 months now - absolutely simple to install and live with. Reports totally consistently and pretty accurately as well vs. other devices (turbo/powertap/friends P2M). In fact I would say that this is totally user friendly as it requires no calibration, zero's itself (just occasional coasting needed/recommended) and links to the garmin everytime. Plug and play.0 -
Thanks for that, all sounds positive.
How long did yours take to arrive after ordering?0 -
Here's what I did to my QXL to fit the P2Max. Obviously with the S type that's no longer an issue. They delivery in weekly batches, so if you order near the start you'll have a longer wait. But it's about 2 weeks tracked.

Jesus, that's some serious dremeling lol!
Just ordered a type S...0 -
Took 2 weeks to ship plus 4 or 5 days to arrive. It was exactly what they quoted me.0

I've got Rotor QXL on a standard P2Max. No Dremelling required. You do have to separate the crank from the meter though. But that's not onerous.
