tendonitis, how long to recover?

i know this will vary massively but how long could it take to be back out on the bike. i only really get any grief when i push a big gear or uphill etc. flat isn't really too bad. spent last couple of days icing my knee. any thoughts welcome.

    Hi, Ive just got back on the bike having had tendonitis, took about 6weeks of ice and weekly vists to the phisio, don't rush it. Pushing big gears does'nt help also look at setup and crank lenghts.

    cheers for that, thats a more then a bit gutting! it was turning big gears when i really felt it. this could be ruling out my main sportive of the year which is gutting! no big gear there just lots of hills! and 16st to drag up lol
