wahoo blue hr to iphone 4s bluetooth link

normally by this time today i would have been out and done 2 or 3 hours, but this morning the postie called with a little pressie for me, A diversion, just as well as it was raining too, a wahoo blue hr so i can connect to strava,
little device connects perfectly to a mini ipad and shows that i have a resting hr around 46 BPM. not bad for a guy the wrong side of 50,
but on my ipone 4s im DEAD, basically there is no connection thru bluetooth even though its running IOS 7.1.1 and the bluetooth is switched on.
i had a look on all the nerd sites, but i,m banging my head against the wall now, (not literally) so guys and gals have you ever encountered a problem as this with an i phone 4s ?
i would love to know how to fix it if at all possible,

Worth a check but you have closed the Bluetooth link to the iPad? It can only connect to one Bluetooth device at a time.
Other option could be to give the sensors a clean .... http://support.wahoofitness.com/entries ... my-device-0
