Given the two brutish stages coming up I am guessing riders in the GC are saving themselves. All to play for. Wonderful.

Arredondo haters suck on it. Colombian haters suck on it.

The cycling world seems to love the Colombian collective, but to my mind they are a bunch of work shy opportunists.
1 did 2 today, did virtually zero pulling at any time.
They are always to be found either sitting on the back, or shooting off the front.

Well they're not very fond of each other given the 50 years of civil war.

Not seen anyone hating on Colombians or Arredondo, in fact seen a lot of praise on these forums.

Aru is fast becoming one of my favorite riders to watch.

They are not flat land work horses. Going solo is so much harder than riding wheels. All I saw today was Sky rider's sucking his wheel (understandable given Cataldo trying for KOM), him solo a lot, him progressing affairs and him putting on a super show for the fans.

    Should do the trick :D

Arredondo at the finish though. It didn't look like he had anything left in the tank.

"They are always to be found either sitting on the back, or shooting off the front."

If the former allows the latter then fair play to 'em - better than plodding in the middle.

    Some good riding today.

Left it on the road. That is what fans want to see. Suffering for the triumph.

I saw you maybe 3 pages ago praising Cataldo for the way he was riding. You can't even keep your story straight over one thread.

I think we could see Basso and Evans reprising their stand off on Zoncolan from 2010...

...about 25 minutes back from the leaders

Now, I don't usually post on clothing matters, but the gloves, bar tape, sun glasses and helmet are a bit much.

Frenchie, you've got to be the person will the least amount of class and humility in 'victory' I have ever known. Why the need to always put the other 'side' down?

It's a real shame. The Movistar kit is great and I reckon the blue shorts / pink jersey combo might work. As it is, we get the pink helmet. :(

Agreed more or less. Socks as well. I guess he is happy - first GT GC jersey and only second ever Colombian to wear the Maglia Rosa.

I saw a photo of his pink Canyon so I expect he will be riding that too on the final stage should he remain in pink.

Best way imo is to have just pink accents on the shorts. Non standard and classy.

I have to agree with you on this score. You can add the pink shorts to the list too but perhaps pink bar tape is a small touch that is acceptable for the leader's bike. I think Uran had the perfect combination and kept things sensible.

I haven't had a chance to see the Stelvio stage or yesterday's stage due to work but I am gutted to see Uran loose the pink jersey. It would have been the ultimate rags to riches story given his background. However the race isn't quite over yet.

It is great to see Philip Deignan getting up there on a couple of stages now and hopefully there is another grand tour stage win in his grasp soon. The Zoncolan is likely to be a GC shoot-out but you never know.

Contador's Saxobank effort is pretty smart. I especially like the yellow/red/pink accents on the bike. If I were being picky it would be regarding the blue front hub...

Not so sure about his all pink outfit - but I suppose anything is better than the pink jersey / Astana blue shorts combo!

Some people can always turn a positive into a negative. Why feel personally persecuted when we've all just enjoyed a good stage?

Farc me Nairo, Katie Price called, she wants her wardrobe back.

So I missed some cracking riding form some little Colombians and some good solid panache possible efforts from some Sky men. Anyone tweet anything we should be concerned about?
