Looking good for Arredondo, but still over 3km to go. Deignan 20" behind him.

Good to see Arredondo going for the stage as well as the KOM.

"Popped" might've been a bit strong in retrospect!

Astana got caught at the wrong end of the group there, missed the split.

Arredondo looks like he is sprinting up this he is so small. Rolland in the big ring. No one else with balls. GIVE IT SOME URAN.

Rolland pulls a small group away, swings off and Quintana.....sits up and waits

Wow those KM went down really quickly. Quintana being paced by Tinkoff dom. FFS.

    FORTUNE FAVOURS THE BRAVE

    SUPERB ARREDONDO

    WHAT A RIDER

In the break all day, led over the GPM 1 and two, lights up the final climb, rides aggressively and a ton of it solo to take the win.

    VERY NEARLY CERTIFIED HEAVYWEIGHT

TDF hasnt got anything on the Giro.

Respect to Duarte. Nice from Deignan - that was what I was looking for.

Columbian one two on the day and one two in the GC. Arredondo, Duarte, Deignan top 3.

Aru with a well timed attack takes a few seconds in the battle for third overall. Good stage that.

Evans about to drop six places in GC.

    Pretty good stage.
The break all looked utterly shattered.
The inevitable Evans collapse the main headline I guess.
Also chuffed for Deignan getting 3rd.

Fair Play Cadel, Good Effort but too much for the man. Can retire with head held high.

Arredondo is the hire of the season. TREK owe him big time. Guy is going from a salary at Nippo to some big bucks.

Rolland, Aru and Majka only separated by a couple of seconds for that last podium spot.
