Groin Muscle Pain

Has anyone ever experienced groin muscle pain from their cycling?
I've been averaging about 150-200 miles per month for the last year but recently have started getting groin pain while cycling. I've not played football in a number of months as I thought this was the cause.
Also, I'm just back from a two week holiday and did a quickly and hilly 13 mile local route and the pain returned , so I have had rest .
Is this likely to be technique or seat position or something else?
Fundamentally I know that cycling is a low impact sport so I am surprised it's causing any pain. I think I might need to see a physio......

If it is something which only manifests while cycling, then it could be symptomatic of a lumbar/back problem. Probably worth seeing a physio or osteo...0

Thanks.
I've got the physio booked. After a quick chat she said that although cycling is typically low impact, the fact that I was doing sprints and attacking hills is enough to aggrevate strains. Hopefully I'll get some stretches and exercises to help!0
