Any C60 owner with some feedback about the bike ? I'm on a tie choice between the usual Tarmac 2015 or give it a shot at this wannabe fancy lugged italian frame..

I don't own one but our shop was lucky enough to be sent one by mistake, first in the UK. We built it up with EPS Super Record and OH MY GOD it was one of the most beautiful bikes I've ever seen.

shouldn't your shop have sent the frame back?

Tarmac vs C60 (or C59) is an absolute no-brainer isn't it?

Keep your eye on this weightweenies thread, I would expect some C60s will appear soon.

C59s certainly look a lot better in the flesh, I don't think I've ever seen a photo of one that does them justice, some other bikes are a lot more photogenic.

You mean one should get the Colnago ? I'm seriously asking.

I think they might lynch you here if you got the Tarmac :D
  • Was underwhelmed when I saw a C60 in the flesh. That new s-works in orange looks gash also.

I agree, I don't think it has the lines of the C59, it's a bit fugly. Maybe the C59 will be the last reasonable looking lugged carbon frame from Colnago for a while.

If you have to ask between a Specialized or a Colnago get the Specialized.

There isn't a single tarmac that I would buy over the rivals. The cheaper ones are beaten comfortably by value for money brands like Canyon, and the more expensive ones just don't come close to being as special as something like a Colnago (or as high performing as a higher spec Canyon if that is more important than riding an Italian masterpiece).

My GF's mate came over last night. She has a C59 (she is attractive even without this) and was showing us pics of a C60 in white and black with gold detailing. It looked stunning in those colours.

The very lucky owner is collecting it from the shop this week.

I'd try to get a deal on a C59. I prefer the 'Colnago' decals on the C59 anyway. As an owner I cant fault the frame, The geometry is fantastic and it tracks beautifully on descents.

I don't like most Italian bikes and Colnago is no different. That said anyone purchasing a bike as soulless as a Tarmac over a C60 should be on the receiving end of a stern beating.

I do agree actually, and I personally like the slimmer and round tubing better on the C59,but you know how most of us feel about that latest new gadget

Whatever you say I think the C60 looks stunning, particularly in this...

    ...and this...

...paintscheme (excuse the Shimano cross contamination  )

Those are indeed stunning except for the italian flag. I hate the idea of having a cheese pizza on my frame.

Besides the bike porn I would like to hear about some rides feedback...
Definitely ok with set it and forget it Shimano to me.

From a few feet away that would look like any other matt black bike with a plain white colnago sticker banged on it and some green, red, and white electrical tape. Colnagos deserve a better paint job really. Oh, and note I wrote 'matt black' not 'stealth' as 'stealth' is a word for berks.

Man,have you ever seen a Colnago frame in the flesh ? I've seen a matte C60 yesterday for the first time and of course up until then I did not belive all the BS about stunning paint details and the such. I have to tell you,the more you look at their paint jobs, even if it's matte black, the more you notice they truly are a step ahead of everyone. Take it from an italian that like most italians do tend to bash at everything Made in Italy.
Also, bear in mind that Colnago have 3 different selection of it's matte black. If I'll go for the C60 like I think I'll probably do I will get the total plain matte black one,but even in that configuration Colnago managed to give it a lot of personality with glossy black stickers. Details is the difference

I think that such a paint matte black job would look beautiful until half way through the first ride. It does look beautiful, even in a photo but I'm sure I would be too scared of getting it dirty to really enjoy it. Anything that didn't wash off with soapy water and nothing harder than a sponge would ruin the paint.
