1st check, wasn't it? Would make sense, as it's all uphill until the 1st

He's actually got a more than decent TT record.

He's always been a huge prospect. He's made very strong steady progress as a pro.

I know. But multiple lumpy stage wins at a Giro always make the little radar dish on top of my tin hat start to spin.

He just needs some descending lessons from Cunego.

They've all been finishes that have really suited him though. The bells aren't ringing for me the way they did for Santambrogio last year.

They were essntially sprints from reasonably sizable groups though. He didn't ride off into the distance Sella-like

Check his palmares; there's nothing in his wins this Giro that should in any way be surprising

    Cataldo 3rd at the finish.
Rogers 3rd at the 2nd check.

Now Herrada 3rd at the 2nd check. 32 seconds down.

It's been a really bad year for coverage of time trials imo.

Back home for this now :D

Really hope Quintana's fit enough to do a ride. He looks relaxed anyway.

    Lovely sunny day here.

What can Quintana do? I have to say we are approaching the part of the race where I am mourning the absence of a fighting fit Richie Porte, it would have been interesting to see who would put up the best performance between him, Evans and Quintana today.

Preidler not bad, 7th. Could join an already incredibly competitive fight for the young rider jersey

Goddamn what a performance from Ulissi.

Symptomatic of the roads drying out or just a monster effort?
