Really nice, love the colour scheme, I have the same crankset in silver/black, do yourself a favour get a set of Praxis chain rings, they will look much better and shift better too, the £120 I've spent.

Iv had a look at these and can get one for £103 in all black, I agree I think it will look better, do you have a pic of your crank set up for me to compare with?

    Thanks for the input

Here's mine, I ordered the Cloverleaf, but for some reason they (Evans) sent the standard rings, so I tried them and really like them so decided to stick with them:

This thread has put me off buying a Cannondale.

I've taken a fancy to the idea of a SuperSix Evo Hi-Mod (perhaps the new Synapse Hi-Mod) BUT...
Unless you start hitting the 8k mark on the current range of SuperSix Evo Hi-Mods the colour ways/liveries just don't do much for me at all, whereas the OPs bike looks really good.

Very nice bike and build you've got there Joeblack.

Thank you, and I know what you mean it's not until you hit the di2 dura ace version that the colour ways become acceptable, I don't know what cannondale have done this year.

Thanks again guys, iv ordered the praxis chain rings so will update with some new pics when they come,

I'm not sure of the weight, it's not going to be super light as the wheels are pretty heavy. I'll stick it on the scales one day soon and let you know

  • Question re the rings; do you find them quite noisy? Just fitted a pair and they seem to be noisier than my old Campag ones?

Thank you for the kind comments,

Go for the bars if you are still considering them Mat, they are by far the best upgrade iv done, iv genuinely noticed the dampening they offer, and they look great with the stem.

Notwiggins, no they are fine, I did notice a couple of the teeth had some excess that needed cutting away once I'd fitted them because they snagged the chain slightly, but other than that I can't fault them.

Looks nice mate! I like the "it's all about the bike" touch :)

  • New Wheels added to the bike yesterday, MAVIC 40C and they are truly brilliant light years ahead of the SL's best upgrade iv bought in both looks and performance.

This bike has seen me improve no end this year and has been a pleasure to ride hopefully with a good winter I will be starting racing next year, next purchases will be a winter bike and next year a bike to race on.

    Hi Miles,

No after all the crashes I see down at my local circuit I want something a little less precious to me for racing, My plan is to get a frame and fit the old SL's to it along with the ultegra groupset of this, then get DA for this bike.

That way ill have a decent bike to race on reasonably light and reliable, and also keep this as a best bike for the summer club rides etc, Im toying with the idea of seeing Ooey nexy year and giving it a full respray to add a bit of colour
