Lovely looking 'Dale that. I've always liked 'em and yours doesn't change my opinion. :)
  • Great looking bike. Perhaps Iḿ old fashioned but I still think the best looking frames are those with horizontal or very nearly horizontal top tubes.

  • FSA cranks do not make a "full Ultegra groupset".

I like the Deda stuff though, very classy looking.

Really nice, love the colour scheme, I have the same crankset in silver/black, do yourself a favour get a set of Praxis chain rings, they will look much better and shift better too, the £120 I've spent.

    Thanks for the compliments guys,

Re the top tube I completely agree it's one of the reasons I went for this bike, I have a trek with a sloping top tube and it doesn't look half as nice to my eye.

The bike rides lovely and is more bike than I'll ever need tbh, but at least I can't blame the bike when I'm struggling :p

Ahhh, noted I'll edit the description just for you

Yes the deda stuff is very nice, reasonably priced as well compared to some finishing kit, I wanted Matt black to keep the theme of the frame so it was a natural choice.

That's a great looking bike mate.
If you don't mind me asking, how much of an upgrade is the SLK crank over the Ultegra or DAce would you say?

Thank you, I can really only compare to the ultegra that's on the Trek, and tbh they are chalk and cheese as far as the frames are concerned, this dale is a out and out race bike so very stiff and handles the power through the cranks very well, the acceleration is notable compared to the Trek, but the Trek has a more comfortable set up and doesn't feel as stiff at the bb, I'd put that down to the gram more than the crank though if I'm honest.

Iv had a look at these and can get one for £103 in all black, I agree I think it will look better, do you have a pic of your crank set up for me to compare with?

    Thanks for the input

    Fab bike.

Looking to get a Super Six in the near future, as I now fancy something quick!

If it's good enough for Sagan, it'll probably be fine for me.

Haha I was the same when I had this on order, it took four months as well. I must have pushed the hit rate on the Carbondale website up by 50% with my views alone, what size are you there are still a few to be had in this colour way out there, the 2014 SS ultegra doesn't look half as nice, however the new frame is lighter.

Lovely looking bike, much prefer the 2013 colour way, the weird blue one doesn't do it for me, great attention to detail

Is that a custom decal 'it's all about the bike'?

Thank you, iv tried to keep to a theme, always liked stealth bikes, I know this isn't stealth but it's as close as I could get without a full re spray and I'm pleased with the way it's come out, iv still got to fit the matching bars and some Matt carbon bottle cages

    Yes sir it is

Bit cheesy I know but it's very subtle and almost blends into the paintwork in real life, I just thought it was applicable to the amount of time I'd put into it!!

I'm a 60cm frame but I don't have any budget at all at the moment so it'll be a few years yet!

Great bike, very nearly got one instead of my cento uno. Anyway a a photo of some Praxis rings on an SLK crank, only fitted them because I didn't like the look of the black and silver fsa rings. The shifting may be better than with the fsa rings but it's not a huge difference. They do seem a lot harder and more wear resistant.

That Willier is gorgeous too, and the Praxis look much better, @OP you will be one step closer to stealth with those rings. Personally I think the touch of personality with the custom decal is great, stand out from all the other Supersixes, I want to do something similar now :)
