Yeah, loads of people use them for CTT events. The UCI only put that rule in to screw over Obree probably.0

That must be why British Cycling adopted it too, according to their Rules book:
3.2.5 Cycles used for road or circuit racing shall be fitted
with a freewheel and two independent brakes in good
working order, with their brake levers securely
fastened to the handlebars.
I could care less, was just curious. Carry on.Open One+ BMC TE29 Seven 622SL On One Scandal Cervelo RS0 -
BC operate under UCI rules, but 99% of TTs raced in the UK are under CTT rules.0

Both the bike and your performances on it are inspirational. Keep it up.0

What brake is that? I see you've changed it in the updated pic.
Chapeau on those times BTW. Awesome stuff!
Next update is probs you saying you're attempting the hour record“Training is like fighting with a gorilla. You don’t stop when you’re tired. You stop when the gorilla is tired.”0 -
Cheers all. The brake is a TriRig Omega, basically an aero brake solution for those of us without fancy integrated setups.0

Both bikes look very good, PX do a great job offering vfm bikes across all their range IMO.0

Reasonable start to the season. No PBs yet but power is up and CdA is down so they will come. Hounslow Wheelers 100 on Sunday. Sub 4hrs or die trying...

What do you do for hydration/nutrition?0

Nothing for 10s and 25s. Bottle between my arms for a 50 and a gel up each leg, adding a saddle mounted bottle for the 100 with a TT bag with more gels in. Probably going to grab another bottle at 60 miles.0

Great event, really enjoyed it but gutted to miss out on sub-4hrs by 12 seconds. Gonna have to do another one this year now...

Great ride.... but flip... 11 seconds..??0

You're telling me. Thought I was going to miss it by about a minute with 5 miles to go, didn't realise it was so close. But there's no way I could have got any more power out. Ballsed up pacing a bit, last 25 miles were slow. Held up a 3 roundabouts as well.0

Just wondering how comfortable the Vigorelli is for longer rides. Would have thought it was a bit unforgiving but maybe not?0 -
I've done 100 miles on it a couple of times before. It's stiff, but not too bad. Doesn't get used for much more than 50 milers these days, and even then not that often.0

That's a flippin' impressive effort, hats off to you.
I find the stats fascinating. 167 is almost identical to my (running) marathon HR, and you're averaging that over four hours. You're an aerobic machine!0 -
Great ride on that 100! Have you got a wheel cover for the rear wheel or is it actually a disk?Canyon Roadlite AL-Shamal Wheels-Centaur/Veloce Group

Raltec covers. As good as a real disc, and much cheaper. Work great with my Powertap.0

One more 100 miler left then my flat TT season is over. Be riding something a bit faster for 2016 though:
