Arrh Snap - Broken Wrist...Training Ideas?

Had a load of friends over Saturday for a bbq & celebrate my 40th, slipped playing football with the kids and confirmed broken left wrist yesterday. Its not a bad break but they'll decide if an ops required tomorrow. I do seem to be blessed with brittle bones.
Anyhow, I've only just started build phase after being plagued with wretched colds this year, any training ideas to keep fitness going? Have a turbo and will discuss options for cast with ortho specialist, my problem is going to be managing the sweat.
Any ideas?
Chris.

I've got a broken leg at the moment (tib, fib and ankle socket) and have been plated. I don't have a cast but have a removable Aircast boot.
Aircast make a wrist cast too. These things are easily removed so you could take it off whilst working out to avoid the sweat problem. A simple sling may suffice during a turbo session or just wear the Aircast and wash it afterwards.
I would recommend asking your consultant about this before you resume training.

Yeah broken my wrist, very bad break requiring two lots of surgery. Had X-fix for a month then a cast for 2 months. I cycled once I got the cast (well no choice, had to get to work and was not allowed to drive by the doctors). It's not a major issue but take care.BASI Nordic Ski Instructor

Cheers for the comments guy's. Been away for a week, should have been a surfing holiday, oh well. Did manage to gain 1.5 kilo's though.
Specialist said it was fine to cycle on trainer after after a couple of weeks, just don't fall off was his advice. Hit the trainer for the first time today, must be psychological but reluctant to put any weight on it but got thru the session. Was booked in to have the cast replaced on Tues as too loose but having second thoughts, an hour into the trainer and it was throbbing tight, must be the heat.0
