Problems with PowerAgent after latest updates

PowerAgent, the CycleOps/Powertap training software, has been causing me all sorts of hassles of late. It seems that every new update makes it worse!

The main problem I am having is that the software isn't calculating and displaying the correct power zone times and corresponding power distribution graph. I have my zones set manually under the user information, and I am using names for the zones more or less corresponding to the Allen & Coggan ones, i.e. Recovery, Endurance, Tempo, Threshold, VO2 Max and Anaerobic (Anaerobic including Neuromuscular as well because there are only 6 non-zero zones).

Until about two or three updates ago it was working fine, all rides would be imported from the Garmin and then displayed according to the current zones. Then the behaviour changed, so that after importing each ride I would need to right-click "edit properties" and "apply current power zones" to get it to use the right zones. Now, after the latest update (7.7.5) this doesn't work... It refuses to apply the current zones. Also, even adding a "tag" (ride description) under "edit properties" seems to be unreliable. Sometimes I need to do it 2 or 3 times before it is recorded.

I've tried completely installing and reinstalling, including deleting all the Powertap files I can find after uninstalling and reimporting all of the .fit files...

This is doing my head in - any advice much appreciated!
