Apologies, firstly for the title of the thread.
Just thought I would post on here something I have found useful. I've suffered recently, having changed my lifestyle, eating much less and in general much healthier food. One of the side effects has been a much lower frequency of movement. Training 5 or 6 times a week and the hydration / dehydration cycles seem to have exacerbated this. I am told that it might take my body some time to adapt, and was recommended by my doctor
1) to drink at least 3 litres of water a day and at least a litre of water per hour of exercise.
2) the usual stuff about fibre sources - soluble and insoluble - details available via google etc.
3) aloe vera
The stuff that is usually in sun cream(!) either in capsule or liquid form, or even as a drink (though beware the sugary versions). It does the job, (pun intended), and I can highly recommend, having been initially suspicious that it might constitute quackery and nonsense, a feeling only amplified when I wandered into Holland and Barrett and plucked it from the shelves it shared with all manner of other herbal stuff.
Any, if you are suffering at all, I can recommend giving it a go.

It's a no brainer.
If you eat healthily you are bound to eat more high fibre foodstuffs for energy. Muesli, nuts, cereals, cereal bars, wholemeal bread, fruit (especially those long yellow bendy things) but remember all that fibre intake needs a lot of moisture too.
I glass of water to 1 banana for example.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
