Fantastic effort.
Im loving the orange.Cervelo S5 Ultegra Di2.0 -
That looks very nice!
How does di2 shift with the sworks cranks (not sure which chainrings you have)?0 -
Yeah, orange is my favourite colour so it had to be!
Apparently the colourway was/is a limited import from America according to Specialized UK?!
Di2 is Di2 - faultless. Chain rings are Strong light CT2 ceramic as per image 1.
Shifting seems fine up to now. Granted I would hazard a guess it's not Dura Ace 9000 chainset quality but the running is silent and shifting seems impeccable.0 -
Looks fantastic. And that picture of everything laid out on the workbench excites me more than it should :oops:Bianchi ImpulsoBMC Teammachine SLR02 01Trek Domane AL3“When I see an adult on a bicycle, I do not despair for the future of the human race. “ ~H.G. Wells Edit - "Unless it's a BMX"0

Specialized are doing some great looking frames at the moment."Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

The bottom pic .. is that looking towards Coniston Water from the side of Kirby Moor ? And did
you take the picture yesterday afternoon ?0 -
Yes and yes @cedar404!0

I think we exchanged pleasantries around 3pm as I went past on
my blue ribble.0 -
Maybe, although I wasn't up there until around 5pm as I had hung back to help a lad up the hill (I.e. stuck with him as he was suffering) before heading off around the lake. Managed a swift 50 miles solo after work on the beast at 18.2mph avg with 3500+ft climbing.
Guess it's the bikes fault! ;-)0 -
Very, very nice.0

Ah, no problem. I just passed someone at that point yesterday taking a photo.
I saw your Strava file on the LRC strava group. It was a great afternoon. Lovely
bike by the way !0 -

I saw this colourway in the flesh, its certainly no shrinking violet!I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0

Subtly is something I'm renound for! Currently on with a couple of pairs of custom garish Bonts to see me through the year - may as well do it properly!
Penis bars, maybe, depends on on your budget, but they're superb high class Ron Jeremy bars NapD if we're describing carbon in a penis metaphor!
Don't blow your load on them if you can't stand the £ signs 'n' all that?!
Yes @cedar404, I'm a heavily active member of the LRC in fact I am admin/instigator for the Strava page. Give me a shout if you see me on the open roads!0 -
Heh, it's got nowt to do with cost. I'm quite comfortable with what I spend on bikes! (Although I dread the mrs finding out)
Good choice of chain rings, although praxis are even better IME.
I freaking LOVE the colour of the frame!Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

Nice review on praxis in this months (due to be released) C+. I will get a set of them in the next couple of days and see how they compare but thanks for the heads up. The CT2 are certainly smart aesthetically and so far perfunctory all the same!
Ditto regarding the cost of stuff. Luckily I'm OK as the Mrs recently asked why I was 'charging' my bike - came back with the response (as the front junction box is under the bar fly mount instead of the stem) that it's an additional charge for the garmin computer!
No more was / has been / said since... :twisted:0 -
Good skills!
I thought CT2s were good (they are!) but the shifting on the praxis is sublime.Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

Never go into a gun fight with a Chelsea bun as ammo!
You've gotta have a system! ;-)0 -
I'm liking this thread NapD to give perspective on both sets of rings... If nowt else, scroll page 4 to see where 'me laddo' has managed to grind the balls out of his rings! :-0

I replaced my FSA rings with praxis 50/34 mainly because I didn't like the silver and black of the fsa rings (ok so I'm shallow). They shift better and the metal seems much harder, very little wear and no gouges when a badly adjusted front mech dropped the chain.0

Love the bike and love the colour.....
Crescent, I know what you mean about the first photo, it also does something for me !0 -
Yeah it is although maybe that would've been a step too far! I'll be sticking with the 2 tone black when I order some of the praxis.
Shame about the service you had. You can always order online and negate the customer interaction side of things?!0 -
Love the orange, nice and different from the usual red and blackCanyon Roadlite AL-Shamal Wheels-Centaur/Veloce Group
