Where the analogy works is that the GTR drives and handles like very few cars but does not look great. Much like the Dune (not ridden one so can't comment) I guess its important to remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we all like different things. I wouldn't question how the Dune handles, but looks wise its not for me.
Exactly what I meant. Thank you for explaining to the rest of them

I reckon it's like a Japanese super car.

There's no such thing as a Japanese 'supercar'.
    Honda NSX anyone?

    Also fits the analogy

Fast (in it's day) and a technical tour de force.

But compared to an Italian beauty? No thanks

Anyone who doesn't think the GTR is a supercar has either never driven one, or is talking boll**ks. Or, more probably, both.

I wouldn't buy a Ferrari even if I could afford one (and there's sod all chance of that, lol). They're just wankers' cars. You see a middle aged bloke in an Aston and you think "Mmm, nice car", you see the same middle aged bloke in a Ferrari and you just think "Wan*er". especially if it's a ragtop.

The GT-R is a performance car, not a super car. And, yes, I've driven one. And a 458.

You haven't actually answered the question - What do you think makes a supercar then?

the gtr is not a supercar, its just not, just because its as fast as one,

my 14 year old audi is as fast as some supercars, but I don't class it as one

No I didn't. I just used the 458 as an example. Read harder.

Only if you're too dumb to get it from what's already been written. Let's try again, for the hard of understanding: A supercar is not defined solely by performance. And performance is all that the GT-R has.

Well done a fair few more rides,

And a push up day at FOD and I can honestly say this bike is immense so solid and planters (possibly a bit to planted for some) I can’t totally hoon it around like I want at the moment due to a rotator cuff injury I can’t shift but still pushing it pretty firmly and it’s just so controlled fast and planted...

    Heaven!

Yup doing the DH trails all day, the up lift at FOD is poitnless as you can push up as fast as the uplift makes it a great day for a push up. allows you to save the legs for the beans on the way down.

Well first ride this weekend with my evol air can... My fitness sucked ass but the bike felt amazing after being on the dh bike the last few weeks forgot how light and snappy this feels out the corners.. The shock now makes the back end feel a tad more coil like in its small bump performance.

Was playing with the set up of the serviced pikes too, love these forks, I have not notice any mid stroke dive people on the forum have mentioned finding it stays nicely mid stroke through corners and so on..

Still my ideal bike yup yup yup
