You're in the front group with Sagan. Cancellara steaming up from behind. What do you do?

I think I chose the wrong half-hour to stop watching!

So the peleton was split by a crash?

    24ks, still 16secs.

OPQS are starting to ride now. Just them two, Geraint and Sagan.

About 30 riders in the front group yes. Cancallera caught behind. Sucks but makes for great fan viewing.

  • Cancellara being milked like a cow by 12 wheel suckers hoping that he tows them all up to the front bunch...pretty brutal stuff.

Pretty flat and just one smallish climb in the next 24ks.

Lotto are an embarrassment to Belgium racing. Sucked wheels entire way. Cancellara trying to make the group work. Idiots are not.

Partly. But Thomas blew it to pieces on the Whateverberg.

Fabian looking so strong, if he was better positioned when that crash happened he would probably have won this

I'm trying to get a report finished before close of play tonight but it's a struggle when Gezza is racing like this. I suspect he's going to burn himself out but it's looking like a decent PTP pick at the moment.

Maybe there should be rules about excessive drafting of Cancellara like there is for drafting cars.

  • Imagine the solo dig he could have put in if he wasn't caught in the crash. Making half the field look like 3rd cat amateurs clinging on to his coat tails for dear life.
  • The gap has gone out another 10 seconds or so since the last climb. I don't think Fabs can do it on his own given how much he already had to put in catching back up after the crash.

Fabu not looking as strong as he has.

When he won last year he attacked solo at 35ks and put 1mins into 2nd.

No-one prepared to help Canc, same old problem for him. This could play into EBH's hands if / when it does come back together.
