One of those rare things in cycling, the mid-season signing (albeit due to circumstance).0 -

Well that would be nice but coordinating internet campaigns is a bit much.
Not you btw Bob0 -
I don’t like his commentary, but pro’s rounding on him is a dick move.0

How apt that a Kirby apologist should make this answer up, since TGH's tweet was about Kirby making stuff up: in this case about how a rider signed for Team 'x'.
He said he would like to see Kirby substantiate his outrageous claims.
A few of the comments underneath were somewhat less circumspect."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
He said that a certain rider had fallen out with his agent, and that was the reason he had ended up on team 'x'.
He's so full of shoot misrepresented as fact he should not be on the airwaves, let alone in a prime spot.0 -
I saw that TGH had a go at Ed Pickering as well. He is obviously a keen twitterer0

Though i imagine the glee of being in a mob and bringing someone down might be appealing to some.0 -

He's just a bit immature.
Vino's comment about the mob mentality is bang on IMO.0 -

He’s a commentator who regularly talks genuine nonesense.
It’s not so much s mob as a whole bunch of people who feel he ruins the coverage.0 -

Give the guy a break. He's a commentator and i for one like his enthusiasm and excitement.
All this criticism is uncalled for. He may make mistakes, everyone does though. He is a commentator and has to cover a range of sports. This means he isnt always 100% up to date or informed of everything in the pro tour, that's why he has a co-commentator.
At the end of the day if you don't like his commentary turn the volume off or watch through the eurosport app where there is usually race coverage without commentary.0 -

He makes obvious, glaring errors - often talking over his co-commentator who is trying to tell him the correct answer.
He also ignores attacks etc to finish telling whatever rubbish joke he was telling, and then laughing at himself.
He is rubbish! I am paying for Eurosport and that includes for the commentary, I shouldn't have to neuter the coverage I am paying because the commentator is useless.0 -

i wouldn't want commentary that was 5 hours of insight into the merits of 12 speed gears or otherwise punctuated with comments about a riders change in cadence or tightening of shoes. it would be boring or radio. and its not just 5 hours once its four or five hours twentyone times in a GT thats over 100 hours in the TDF alone. plus the one dayers, smaller tours and the other GTs plus the worlds.
his audience isnt only detail obsessed cyclists but normal people too. I understand a lot of women quite like him0 -
