Haha that was at Cannock on Sunday, nice and dry, so no mud - just dust.
Must admit it was filthy for months on end before that!!

Possibly a good idea. Maybe some candles for extra ambience.

Do you really want people to think you're good with colours?

    Cayeene or Celossia Orange
Perhaps a Cayeene Seat Clamp, with a Celossia Orange Chainstay.

I knew this topic would bring out the "It's a bike, FFS!" brigade. FFS, it's a hobby. If people get enjoyment from fiddling with their kit, what's wrong with that? Is this a MAN thing?

Nothing to do with a man thing. Its a mountain bike. You can't see what it looks like when you're riding it.

You could remove the water bottle and use a bag instead....

    That would improve it.

I recommend swapping some black parts for some blue ones... Maybe swap the forks for blue ones too.

And then paint yourself blue to match.... (maybe I've been watching too much arrested development)

Apart from the silly blue stuff, what's wrong with a bottle? Much easier if you're just going for a fairly short ride.

Eh? You might want to take another run at that. I think you're confused.

If you're going for looks, a bottle doesn't look as good as a bag, purely aesthetics. I'm not sure I'd want my bottle that close to the dirt without a cap. I've used my Osprey bag quite a few times now and I really love it.

In all seriousness I think its actually a really nice looking bike, I'm not sure I'd bother changing it unless you're improving it. The saddle and cable outer's could be swapped for something with a bit of white to tie in the forks but I wouldn't bother until its due its maintenance.

You can't tell what your clothes look like when you're wearing them, what your hair looks like once you turn away from the mirror or what your car looks like when you're driving it. But I bet you still browse the rack rather than just picking the closest T-shirt without looking and walking to the counter, mess with your hair before you leave the house and took your car's aesthetics into consideration before buying it.
